After speaking to hundreds of gym and clinic owners, I’ve come to an unsettling realisation:
Most of us have no idea what it means to have a grip on the business fundamentals.
And I say that with the utmost compassion, not just because that was me once, too, but because we’d expect the experts to tell us what we don’t know (we’re coaches and clinicians, after all).
But they don’t, and that’s because they don’t know either.
Most of us think accountants are responsible for telling us how to act, but in reality, they’re only responsible for telling us how we’ve acted.
That’s why they account for what we’ve already done, rather than strategise for what we should do next.
There is a world of difference between those two things.
In yesterday’s podcast, I break down the difference and tell you exactly what you need to be doing (and paying attention to) if you’re going to weather the coming economic cycle.
Plus, if you’ve been on the fence about subscribing to the Alley-Oop newsletter, this will give you a great insight into what is in store for those who join the community before May 1, when it gets shipped off.
