It’s not every day you listen to a podcast and one of the blokes having the conversation starts tearing up (as in, the water in the eyes type).
But it happened in the latest episode that Jordi and I recorded yesterday.
And as embarrassing as that might be (it might even make some of you listening uncomfortable), it’s the kind of advice that every business owner needs to hear.
I talk about an idea called the pyrrhic victory — it’s where you win the battle, but suffer such significant casualties, that you may as well have lost.
And if I’m honest, that’s what the scoreboard shows when I look back personally on 2022.
A year of massive growth, unrealistic achievement professionally… and abject failure in the other areas outside my professional life.
I made trades that I never want to make again.
You’ll have to listen to the full story for context — but I can guarantee that every single business owner out there will take away one of the most important lessons in business that it’s outright criminal to ignore, and you may never be able to forgive yourself for.
Here’s the link, enjoy, take notes, and reflect.
